The American Can Co. Model Canco 400  is a rugged, low cost machine designed for closing can sizes from No.200  to No.404 at a recommended speed of 120 CPM with higher speeds obtainable  depending on the product or can size.

Smooth, accurate  operation: The cans are received on a slowly revolving indexing disc  and delivered into the machine where they are carried to any one of four  rotating seaming heads that are mounted in a revolving  turret.

Simple, precise seaming method: The seaming heads are  of the four roll variety with mounting on roller bearings for maximum  life. The second operation rolls may be disengaged quickly for testing  the first operation seam.

Extremely efficient: The Canco  400 handles cans from No.200 to No.404 and from 1-1/2" to 6" in height with  great efficiency and minimal spillage. Cans of greater height can be  seemed with special column modifications. Positive assembly of the cover  and can with a No Can/No Cover safety feature assures smooth operation with minimum attention.

Height changes: Most can  height changes with no change to the diameter are easily made by simply  raising or lowering the seaming turret.

Accessories: The Canco 400 is  very  versatile with accessories available for can making, steam flow or  steam turret operation.


Low operating and maintenance  cost:  All the parts are easily accessible for cleaning, lubrication  and maintenance.
